Few years
back................
There were lines of cars used to wait under Wakad
bridge to turn right side and join hightway in a lane of 3 where the road was
just 2 lanes. People waiting at right turn as well as on highway waiting for the
green signal were frustrated for the traffic, mismanagement of trafiic police,
wrong design of wakad bridge , pune corporation.......
Corporation was not thinking thinking and finally
came to solution.....They have constructed "Kala khadak chowk...Bhumkar
underpass". They have restricted right tuning under wakad bridge and redirected
it to Bhumkar underpass.
But people were smart....
People used to cross Wakad bridge and take
illegal U-Turn which later made official U-Turn and joine highway. Also they
were started using Bhumkar underpass.This story continued around 2 years....soon
traffic chaos went out of control..........and finally traffic control came to
decision.... "Open the right turn under Wakad Bridge"
Day 1
2,3 traffic police were standing at the start of
wakad bridge redirecting people to turn right under bridge. Under bridge many
traffic police were guiding vehicles... temporary they have removed the
baricakes.... they have removed newly constructed drivider as well.......Wow
what a smooth turning...i have reached highway in 10 mins from Phase 2.
Day 2
traffic police standing at wakad bridge and
guiding to turn right under the bridge........with timings...."Right Turn" is
open from 5 to 8pm.

Day 15
I have reached there at 5.40 but still baricakes
were there.....i took my car to left side and joined highway via bhumkar
underpass..When i reached Wakad , i saw police have removced the baricakes....i
thought might be i have reached little early at Wakad bridge..
Day 18
I have reached wakad bridge at 5.40, still
baricakes were there. Now i became smart and experienced. I didnt turn left. I
was waiting there to open the "Right Turn".....Smart people also joined me in
waiting the queue...and lots of vehicles pressurised traffic police to remove
baricakes..
Day 23
5.30pm.... people were shouting at traffic police
to open the right turn...switch on the signal.....showing by hands to remove
baricakes ....taking there vehicles "Inch inch" ahead........ looking this scene
,vehicles on high way stopped by themselves allowing right turning....People
crossed the half side of road and reached upto drivider.....forcing traffic
police to remove baricakes...........
